Stoneware crock with white body and dark glazed interior. The form flares slightly in the middle, comes back in, then flares again at the lip. U-shaped handles are applied onto either side near the top, and a line is scored around the piece at the midpoint of the handles. The inscription, "NORTON & FENTON/East Bennington, Vt." is impressed into the center front on the scoring line, and colored blue (underglaze).Context
