Description

Large stoneware food storage jar. The body of the jar flares outward dramatically at the center, then again slightly toward the top. U-shaped handles are applied on either side, and a line in incised around the piece at the center line of the handles. The jar is decorated with a hand-painted design of a floral sprig, and the center front is stamped with the label, "J FENTON. EAST DORSET 3".
