Necklace consisting of a gold-plated chain and round, bronze medallion pendant. The medallion is molded on one side with a silhouette of the map of the Vermont. The inscription, "BARRE CITY * BARRE TOWN 1776-1976" rings the edge. The inscriptions, "TODAY IS HISTORY TOMORROW" and "CHARTERED BARRE IN 1780", flank the map in the center. The other side of the medallion is molded with an image of a church, a crane lifting a granite block, and the date 1976. The inscription, "BARRE 200 YEARS VERMONT / AMERICAN REVOLUTION BICENTENNIAL", rings the edge. The medallion is encircled by a gold-plated wire wreath.Context
