Description

Glass medicine bottle with metal screw top. The bottle is made of clear glass with a metal screw top colored red. An aged paper label with black printed lettering is adhered to the bottle. The label has two parallel thin black lines on the edges of the label creating a frame around the text. The label reads, “DR. B.J. KENDALL’S / PECTORAL / ELIXIR / ALCOHOL 5% / A STIMULATING / EXPECTORANT / For Coughs or Hoarseness due to Colds.” and continues on with “Directions:- For Adults 1-2 to 2 teaspoonfuls 4 or 5 times a day. For a Child 6 years old 15 to 40 drops, 2 years old, 10 to 20 drops, 1 year old, 5 to 15 drops, If the above doses cause sicknese at the stomach take smaller doses. / Kimball’s Bros. & Co., Inc. / Sole Proprietors, Enosburg Falls, - Vermont.” The lettering is subdivided by thin black lines.
