Membership ribbon consisting of a rectangular bar, a yellow ribbon, and a round medallion. The bronze bar has decorative scrollwork, a bust of George Washington, and the inscription, "SLPT 1892". There is a hinged pin on the reverse. A yellow grosgrain ribbon is looped and stitched onto a wire on the back. The ribbon is embroidered with the monogram, GAR, in red, white, and blue. From an eye hook looped through the bottom of a ribbon hangs a round bronze-framed medallion with an image of the United States capitol building. The inscription, "MEMBER 26TH NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT" rings the edge. The back of the medallion shows and army marching through a city with the inscription, "PRESENTED BY THE CITIZENS OF WASHINGTON, D.C."Context
