Description

Mourning badge consisting of a bar pin, a black ribbon, a beige ribbon, and button. The bar pin is printed with an image of a GAR membership ribbon and the inscription, "GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC". The beige ribbon is decorated with two ribbon American flags, and a round button printed with a Civil War camp scene hangs from its bottom. The long black ribbon is printed in silver with the words, "D. RATTERY Post No. 9 DEP'T VERMONT." The bottom edge is trimmed with gold fringe.
