Small round ceramic butter pat plate with decoratively scalloped rim. The center is printed with an illustration of a 2-story clapboard building with a central front tower or enclosed stairway, and a square cupola. The image is labeled, STATE NORMAL SCHOOL, JOHNSON VT." The bottom of the plate is marked, "MADE IN GERMANY FOR W. D. WELCH & CO. JOHNSON, VT."
