Description

Membership Ribbon consisting of a pin bar, ribbon, and medallion. The pin bar is hidden on the back of the ribbon. The grosgrain ribbon is striped yellow and blue. The medallion consists of a frame with 13 gold stars on blue enameled scallops and a gold spread eagle on the top. Within the frame is an oval medallion molded with an image of an American Revolutionary War soldier and the date 1775. The back of the medallion is molded with a bust of George Washington and the inscription, "SONS OF THE REVOLUTION 1883".

Presented to Major General William "Baldy" Smith by the Sons of the American Revolution, a genealogical organization open to descendants of veterans of the American Revolutionary War
