Description

Male chimney sweep doll, painted to appear covered in soot. He is wearing a cloth around his head, a blue-and-white checkered shirt, red tie or cravat, pants with buttons representing knee pads, and black shoes. He has a ladder strapped onto his back. He is accompanied by a box impressed and painted to look like a chimney, a scale, and a pot. A small square piece of paper is attached to the front that reads, "A ceux qui me possédent j'apporte le bonheur".

Given to the State of Vermont by the people of France as part of the Merci Train after World War II.
