Description

Delegate ribbon worn by Robert Stafford during the Republican National Convention of 1960. The grosgrain silk ribbon has vertical stripes in red, white, and blue, and a gold bar pin at the top with the eagle and enameled shield of the United States and the words "HONORED GUEST" enameled with a blue background below it. The pin has loops to attach additional stamped pins that read "ROBERT T. STAFFORD," "DELEGATE," "GOVERNOR," and "VERMONT" down the front of the ribbon. One lower edge of the ribbon is looped to secure another gold pin that reads "REPUBLICAN / NATIONAL / CONVENTION / 1960/ CHICAGO" with Abraham Lincoln's face in profile between the date numerals.
