Description

Sky blue napkin holders -- cloth envelops decorated with decorated foldover tops in which one would put a napkin for reuse. The holders are edged in royal blue thread and the tops are decorated with embroidered animals in scenes. Seven also have embroidered writing. A card says, "Elian Choraval" on one side and "Manche-Normandie France" on the other.

Context

Given to the people of Vermont from the people of France as part of the Merci Train after World War II.
