Round metal canteen molded on both sides with a bullseye design. There are three brackets around the edge with a long strap of cotton webbing through them, creating a carrying strap. The strap is embroidered with the inscription, "E. C. Hall Co. G. 10th VT", followed by a cross indicating the sixth corps, and the year, "186[illeg]". The center top of the canteen has a short metal spout, sealed with a cork topper. The neck of the spout bears the inscription, "LADJ. HALL ROH. [illeg]."Context
