Description

This helmet is round and made of metal, with a brim. It is painted an olive green color. The helmet has a padded oilcloth liner, and there is a brown leather chin strap attached to it. At the center front is a hat-painted illustration of the bust of an indigenous American man wearing a feathered war bonnet. He is is placed over a black circle with a white swirl of smoke. The interior of the helmet's brim is painted with the inscription, "SergT. FrANK H. PuTNAM. BAT. D. 101st F.A. 26th DiV."
