This is a red satin ribbon for the Grand Army of the Republic national encampment in Boston. The ribbon has an attached pin hat is made from brass and has "G.A.R." on it. The ribbon itself has gold text on it which reads, "Maine, 24th National Encampment Aug. 11-15, 1890 Boston, Mass. There is also a the Maine state seal in gold in the middle of the ribbon, and a picture of a Grand Army of the Republic medal on the bottom of the ribbon.Context
