Felt bust of a woman. The face is artistically structured with a distinct seam beneath the eyebrows and needle-felting lines along the sides of the nose to the bottom of the chin. The felt is painted to resemble white skin, with pink lips and brown eyebrows. Eyes are created with brown sequins as irises and lacquered embroidery thread as eyelashes. The figure has black hair made of thread. The body is covered in a partial garment made of white cotton with a split front neckline and a collar ruff.
The bust is wearing a headdress consisting of a red felt bucket hat trimmed with faux-pearl beads and a sheer white veil. The veil is wired around the hem. Beneath the veil, the hair is held in a crocheted gold net.
The bust is inserted into a Styrofoam base with two metal wires. The base has a paper label that reads, “#23 1830."Use
