Description

Bed warmer, or free stone, made of a large, square piece of soapstone. A heavy-gauge wire is inserted into the sides and bent to form a handle.

Use

Bed warmers such as these would be heated on the stove, then wrapped in flannel and inserted between the sheets to warm up a bed.
