Glass jar with medal lid containing sugar. The lid is red and black and has the Crosse & Blackwell logo at the center with the words "PURVEYORS TO HIS MAJESTY BY APPOINTMENT". This is surrounded by a text reading "THE NAME THAT IS KNOWN TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH ESTAB. 1706" in a circle. On the edge of the lid are the words "CAP MADE IN U.S.A." A handwritten note on a piece of paper inside the jar reads "Grained sugar made by Clarence [last name] some time before 1888."
