Description

Straight-bladed sword with silver scabbard. The grip is leather wrapped with twisted bronze wire. The guard and pommel is molded into a design of eagles, shields, and crossed guns. There is a wide chain hanging from the knuckle guard. The scabbard in engraved with the inscription, "Presented to Capt. A. G. Robbins 2nd Regt. Vt. Vols. by the Officers July 4th 1863".
