Pierced tin lantern. The lantern body is round and formed from a single sheet of tin. The top is conical, formed from a circular sheet of tin rolled around the center point. There is a narrow rectangular door on one side that secures with a bent metal latch. The body, top, and door are all pierced from the interior in a decorative pattern of dots and lines. The round metal base has a circle in the center for holding a candle.Context
