Description

Wooden plaque with etched and printed, white colored, metal sheet attached with award information. From the top, there is a Civil Air Patrol yellow, blue and red insignia, the big blue letters that read, "Civil Air Patrol honors." The honoree's name, "William V. Mason" appears in black print in an outlined banner. The award is specified in blue lettering, "For Distinguished Service as Commander." In another blue-outlined banner, the dates of services are listed -- Nov. 1942- Nov. 1947. The plaque is signed By Paul C. Ashworth, Colonel, USAF, National Commander. On the back, in faint lettering, the source of the plaque is listed: Texas Trophy Co., behind South Park bowling lanes, 5222 Nassau Road, Houston 21, Texas, MI9-7488 or MI5-5179 (phone numbers).
