A maroon velvet bonnet with black ribbon ties and a big black bow on the back. There is glold embroidered decoration with pearls and glass gems. The velvet on top of the bonnet is worn and the ribbon is frayed, although it never had a finished edge. One glass bead had fallen off and is bagged with the hat.

Given to the people of Vermont from the people of France as part of the Merci Train after World War II.
