Crazy quilt with 20 squares. Each square is pieced in a different pattern with silks of various weaves. The seams are decorated with embroidery. There are embroidered motifs throughout the quilt, included a moth, a hen, a lily, a butterfly, poppies, and the year 1886. The quilt is bordered on all sides with 5-inch wide lace and backed with beige satin-woven cotton.Context
