Description

Plaster statue of a young man leaning against a pillar. The man is dressed in a hat, collared shirt and long trousers. His long-sleeved shirt is open to his chest and has a pocket on the left. A thick, segmented belt or bandolier sits around his waist, and he is wearing stiff boots that rise to mid-calf. He is leaning casually, with one arm draped across the waist-high pillar, and the other hand placed on his waist. The inscription "C. Abate" is carved on the left side of the base.
