Description

Two-handled jug or vase with a brown, cream and yellow scroll design. The design is hand-painted underglaze and features a repeating scroll pattern in yellow with a brown background and accents. the top of the design is accented with repeating triangles, and the base is rimmed with striped. The handles are formed of two rolls of clay twisted together.

Context

Given to the people of Vermont from the people of France as part of the Merci Train after World War II.
