2-gallon stoneware butter churn with blue slip decoration showing the logo for the Vermont Bicentennial. The churn has one jug handle and one lip handle. The logo consists of a primitive depiction of fields, trees, a barn, a church, and fireworks above the inscription, "1791 1991 VERMONT BICENTENNIAL". The bottom of the crock is incised with the inscription, "1/250 LTD." The interior is brown glazed. The churn has a small, round lid that fits into the upper rim. At the center is a round, circular handle with a hole for the dasher. The underside of the lid is glazed pink.Context
