Family of Michael Guber and Anna Siegel GuberContext
This family record of a German immigrant to Vermont memorializes a marriage. Space was left for the later addition of children. The style is similar to that of Fraktur, a Germanic illustration technique for memorializing life events. Michael Guber immigrated from what was then Bohemia, to Vermont at the age of 23. He met his wife, also an immigrant from Bohemia, and married in Cambridge, New York. Children John and George were born in Arlington, Vermont.Acquisition
