Description

This is an oil painting that is housed in an ornate gilded frame. The painting itself is a portrait of an older man who is depicted with white hair, a white and gray beard and moustache, and is wearing a white shirt along with a black neck tie, black vest, and a suit jacket. Additionally, there is a gold tie pin visible on the man's tie. The man is looking towards the right in the painting. On the back of the frame, there is a paper label situated at the top center that reads "Agents for ARUNDEL SOCIETY / DOLL & RICHARDS / Fine Arts . . . / 145 Tremont St., BOSTON". There is also pencil writing on the top right of the back of the frame which reads "Jackson". Furthermore, there are some other pencil markings on the back of the frame, although these are illegible.
