Description

White-painted birdcage windsor rocking chair. The tall back is separated into three sections by horizontal rails. Original green paint is visible where the white paint has flaked. The two lower sections each have 7 spindles, only 3 of which extend to the top. There are pointed arms, each held by 3 spindles.

Owned by Alvin Carter, who served as Barre Town Clerk from 1841 to 1863.
