Description

a--f: Six canvass, red epaulets with button holes on the pointed ends and six snaps at the square end. g-h: Two dark red, wool epaulets with button holes at the pointed ends and unfinished edges at the other end. i-j: Two red epaulets with beige lining on the reverse. These have button holes at the pointed ends and three snap at the opposite edge. k-l: Two pieces of red elastic, fraying at each end. Epaulets are also called shoulder boards.

Context

Owned by William Vroman Mason of Waterbury, Vermont. Mason was Vermont Wing Commander of the Civil Air Patrol from November 1942 to November 1947.
