Red painted windsor rocking chair. It has a curved bow and 8 spindles. It has two scrolled arms held by 2 spindles each. The initials "-EIB" are carved into one arm. The bottom of the seat is painted with the words, "Moved From Hartland, Vt. to Barre, Vt. 1788 by Abel Sawyer." There is also a 3-cent 1938 postage stamp adhered to the bottom of the seat.Context
