Description

Black-painted wooden folding chair. The chair has a ladder back and high, curved arms. The arms are grooved along the inside to allow pegs attached to the outer corners of the seat to slide down and fold the chair. The chair is upholstered with modern fabric, jacquard woven in a green and brown tweed.

Used by Major James S. Peck of Montpelier, Vermont, during the Civil War.
