Engraving showing a mourning scene of three crying figures--two women and a man--surrounding a tall grave monument. There are pointed trees framing the composition to the left, and a willow tree to the right. At the right edge of the frame is a columned building, likely Mount Vernon. The print is enhanced with blue-green watercolor on the willow tree and the grass. The monument has the printed inscription, "There is Rest in HEAVEN / SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF", and the handwritten inscription, "Irene Rice Died Sept 9, 1842 Aged 47 Yrs. 3 mo.14 d."Acquisition
