Gold plated commemorative medal. One side shows the outline of the state of Vermont behind a man in a barn coat carrying buckets away from a tapped maple tree. The inscription, "VERMONT THE GREEN MOUNTAIN STATE" rings the edge. The other side shows a laurel wreath around the edge with a clover flower at the center top. The inscription, "VERMONT ATTAINED STATEHOOD MARCH 4, 1791", in the center and "14TH STATE" at the bottom.Context
