Description

Medal consisting of four parts (three rectangular bars and a circular medallion) connect by short lengths of chain. The top bar reads, "FOR MERIT", the second bar reads, "1000 HOURS", and the third bar reads, "500 HOURS". The medallion at the bottom has the a winged white star with a red center on a blue ground within a laurel wreath.
