Description

Large oil painting, showing a landscape. The landscape consists of a wide valley with a mountain in the middle ground, right. Within the valley is a village that consists of several white houses, some brick buildings, a church, and at least two factories. There are several fields, some containing livestock. In the foreground, on what appears to be charred land, is a group of people, one of whom is pointing towards the mountain. The train crosses the valley at the center. There is another round Mountain further off in the distance on the left. The painting is in a large but simply molded gilded frame.
