Description

Bib-like purple satin vest. The vest is backless, and secures around the wearer with a halter neck and cotton ties at the waist. There are four silver-toned buttons at the center front.

Context

Worn by Roy Nicholson during the 1969 UVM Kake Walk, an annual fundraising performance in which fraternities performed in black face. Roy and his partner were the only performers to wear no makeup that year.
