Full-color print showing a painted image of a train traveling through a snowy valley. The engine is blue-grey with a short chimney at the front that is emitting dark grey smoke. The engine is labeled, "CENTRAL VERMONT" near the front, and "603" on the cabin beneath an opening through which the conductor is visible. The coal car is also labeled "CENTRAL VERMONT". The subsequent 7 cars are green passenger cars. The snow-covered ground inclines steeply on either side of the track, and there is a mountain visible in the background. The piece is signed within the artwork, "ARCHE McDONNEL". The print is marked within the lower right border, "Central Vermont, in Winooski Valley, an original painting by Arch McDonnell.
