Original artwork on yellow paper showing the inked poem, "The Chain I Gave" [Sir Thomas More], in two different scripts written between three pale blue and pink pillars. The pillars are painted in watercolor using a combination of brushstrokes, stamps, and dragged stamps. The poem is aligned with graphite ruled lines. Each stanza alternates orientation, with the first stanza leaning to the right, the second stanza leaning to the left, etc.
