Inked drawing showing a scroll sitting atop two pillars. There are two federal shields above the scroll, with pink watercolor stripes and pink and blue spade stamps in place of the stars. The scroll is inscribed with the text of the hymn, "Com, Children, Learn to Fear the Lord", but Isaac Watts. Beneath the scroll is horizontal bar or pillar wrapped with the words, "many men / of many minds / many birds / of different / species &c" between two round medallions decorated with birds. Between the two vertical pillars at the base is a floral vine encircling the decoratively written phrase, 'Our motto is "Onwards & Upward"'. Between the vines are two diagonal scrolls inscribed with the first two verses of the hymn, "Let Others Boast How Strong They Be" by Isaac Watts. The center bottom is signed, "Written By Aug P. Walter".Artwork Details
