Description

Double-breasted blue wool coat. The full-length coat opens in the center and secures with three buttons (six visible). There are two front pockets that secure with flaps. The lapels are decorated with matching "A.R.C." pins. There are green grosgrain epaulets. The upper right arm has a round white patch with an embroidered red cross in the center and the words, "AMERICAN RED CROSS SERVICE", around the edge. The lower right arm has five embroidered patches: three chevrons and two bars. The coat is lined in blue satin.

Context

The insignia on the arm indicates fourteen years of service.
