Small, household bellows consisting of wooden sides and leather connections. Attachment is made by using five tacks. The fixed leaf is made of soft wood that is 3/8" thick. In the broad part of the leaf is a 1" hole, which has a flap-type intake valve on the inside. The top leaf is similar to the fixed leaf, but about 1 1/2" shorter. The leather bellows material is stiffened by an internal hoop which keeps the leather extended on the bellows intake stroke. The top leaf is hinged to the bottom leaf by carrying the bellows leather at the junction up over the top of the leaf.Acquisition
