Description

5th Vermont Infantry Regiment national flag (presentation). Attached to staff by ties. There are 34 gold painted stars arranged in a circle around a gold eagle, all within the canton. The gold eagle is holding arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other. Its beak holds a red scroll bearing the motto, "E Pluribus Unum." The national shield is displayed on the eagle's breast. On the seventh stripe "5th regiment Vermont" is displayed.
