Description

Pencil and watercolor drawing of a fountain in the shape of a swan. The swan has its head pointed upwards and wings outstretched. The water of the fountain streams out of the swan's mouth. The pool of the fountain is round and surrounded by large stone blocks or pavers. A lake, bushes, and mountains are in the background. The picture is signed at the lower left corner in pencil, "Ruth Robins '42". Beneath the signature in the blank part of the paper is the inked inscription, "1801 - Hyde Manor Sudbury V.T."
