Piece quilt with corners shaped for a high-post bed. The quilt is pieced with long borders of chintz cotton printed with a brown stripe with brown vines that fades into a white stripe with full-color floral vines. The interior alternates blocks of the same fabric as the border with blocks of other chintz fabrics. The blocks in the outer rows of piecing are single fabric blocks while the blocks in the middle of the quilt are made from 9 squares and rectangles (a central square surrounded by corner square and border rectangles. The patterns used include florals, plaids, and abstract geometric prints. The quilt is backed with beige cotton.Context
