Description

Black dress with red at hem and neckline. Both the false chemise and hem are decorated with gold brocaded details in a pattern of repeating circles. A belt is attached at the hip with a large, red beaded medallion at the center front. The belt is studded all the way around with black, square studs. The dress has a surplice bodice front, and the inner red lining is held onto the bodice by straps and ends at the waistline. The shoulders and the fitted waistline are gathered The seams are machine-stitched with a running stitch and the edges are whip-stitched. The bottom is the selvedge and the neckline has a rolled hem. There's an old collections tag that says "Proctor 75757."
