This artwork is a lithographic print that has been hand colored. It depicts a large white building with a red roof. In front of the building, there is a circular drive lined with young trees. On the portico of the building, several people can be seen, and there is a large carriage positioned in front of it. In the center foreground of the circular drive, there is a smaller open-top calash. Towards the right edge of the print, there is another building with a peach-colored exterior and a brown roof. Behind that building, mountains are visible. The sky above is lightly clouded. The bottom margin is labeled, "CLARENDON HOUSE. At CLARENDON SPRINGS Vermont by Thomas McLaughlin, Proprietor, 1850."Artwork Details
