Description

This artwork is a lithographic print that has been hand colored. It depicts a large white building with a red roof. In front of the building, there is a circular drive lined with young trees. On the portico of the building, several people can be seen, and there is a large carriage positioned in front of it. In the center foreground of the circular drive, there is a smaller open-top calash. Towards the right edge of the print, there is another building with a peach-colored exterior and a brown roof. Behind that building, mountains are visible. The sky above is lightly clouded. The bottom margin is labeled, "CLARENDON HOUSE. At CLARENDON SPRINGS Vermont by Thomas McLaughlin, Proprietor, 1850."
