Description

Pen an ink drawing accented with watercolor. The drawing shows Christ on a cross flanked by winged angels. Small human figures stand at the right and along the bottom. Two small human figures hang from the cross horizontal beam and another stabs Christ in the lower abdomen. There are inscriptions in various places throughout the drawing that are quotes from the Bible. The paper is mounted on linen. The work is signed in the upper right corner on the back, "Mrs. Robert Chase, Guildhall, Vermont."
