Metal stencil. "B.N. Wright, / Co. I. 13th. Reg. Vt. Vol"
Context
This stencil was used to mark the belongings of Benjamin N. Wright of Montpelier (1831-1863). He joined the 13th Regiment in August of 1862 and his unit went to northern Virginia and eventually to Gettysburg -- where he was wounded and died.
