Pair of satin-woven silk ribbons held together at the top by a round, white metal button. The front ribbon is green printed in gold with an image of a United States flag crossed with a Canadian flag at the top and the state seal of Vermont at the bottom. The inscription, "Duke of Cornwall's Own Rifles AT Burlington, Vt. JULY 4, 1903" is at the center. A red ribbon is attached behind the green with the same imagery and inscription, but with the addition of the words, "Invitation Committee" at the top. The button shows an illustration of a cross-shaped medal with the inscription, "OTTAWA & CARLETON RIFLES CANADA".Context
