Screen door and window patent models in a leather carrying case. The worn leather carrying case (a) has a leather handle on the top, two leather straps with white string where metal buckles once were, and visible stitching around the front and the leather straps. The six model screen doors are composed of wooden frames and metal screens. The designs for the windows are, a simple dark wood frame (b) with overlapped screens, a black wood window (c) with a sliding screen in the frame, a dark wood window (d) with metal plates reading “QUEEN ANNE SCREEN / PATENT APPLIED FOR,” and a natural wood window (e) with a two layer screen and the paper label reading, “QUEEN ANNE SCREEN CO’s. / Star Screen.” and a chart for “No./ High / Closed / Open.” The designs for the doors are, a dark wood (f) with three bars and a paper label reading, “QUEEN ANNE SCREEN CO’s. / Style 45 Door. / 4-inch stiles, 1 ⅛- inch thick. / Old English Oak finish. / Standard sizes.,” a dark wood door (g) with a plus sign design and a paper label that reads “QUEEN ANNE SCREEN CO’s. / Style 15 Door. / 4-inch stiles, ⅞-inch thick / Old English Oak finish. Standard sizes.,” a light wood door (h) with a plus-like design and scrolled braces in the corners and reads, “QUEEN ANNE SCREEN CO’s. / Style 17 Door. / Four-inch stiles, ⅞- inch thick. / Two coats varnish.,” a light wood door (i) with two middle rails intersected with wooden dowels, a quarter-wheel design in diagonal corners, and a label reading, “QUEEN ANNE SCREEN CO’s / Style G Door. / 4-inch stiles, ⅞-inch thick./ Two coats varnish. Regular sizes. / Landscaped to order at special prices.,” a light wood door (j) with a middle rail and t-shape design above the bottom rail and reads, “QUEEN ANNE SCREEN CO’s / Style 41 Door. / Natural color, filled and varnished. / 4-inch stiles, 1 ⅛-inch thick. / Style 42 - Painted green. According to an information sheet provided by the donor, F.P.Elwert of Rutland, the Queen Ann Screen Co. was listed as in business in Burlington in a 1906 issue of Walton's. The principals were listed as W. & D.G. Crane and E.A. Pope. The information sheet suggests that the carrying case was handmade. This salesman's kit included six models of Queen Anne Screen Co.'s screen doors and four adjustable window screens.Acquisition
